BASO is one of the oldest cancer surgery associations, founded in 1971 to further the philosophy that the management of malignant disease was becoming a multidisciplinary challenge. The association has since developed and expanded to advance the science, practice, and art of surgical oncology for the benefit of patients and relatives with cancer; and to promote research, training, and education in surgical oncology and to disseminate the useful results of that research appropriately.
We thank all our guests and attendees for making the BASO's Golden Jubilee a success. The Society has achieved an impressive amount in its 50 years, it was an honour to celebrate the achievements of our great colleagues, members, juniors and friends who make the Society a success.
