"Scalpel to Software – an Evolution"
Join us for the 88th BASO Scientific Conference, a landmark gathering that celebrates innovation at the intersection of surgical expertise and technological advancement. As cancer surgery continues to evolve, so does our commitment to harnessing data, digital tools, and global collaboration to improve outcomes worldwide. We look forward to hosting you on 5–6 October at The Law Society in London for a dynamic two‑day programme.
This year’s theme, Scalpel to Software – An Evolution, reflects the profound technological shift underway in our field. AI‑assisted diagnostics, data‑driven surgical planning, precision modelling, robotics, and digital decision‑support systems are redefining how we diagnose disease, plan operations, train surgeons, and deliver personalised cancer care.
The conference is open to surgeons, oncologists, researchers, trainees, medical students, and allied health professionals (AHPs). The 2026 programme brings together world‑class speakers, pioneering research, and interactive sessions that showcase the technologies and techniques shaping tomorrow’s surgical landscape.
We look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring and forward‑thinking meeting that continues BASO’s long tradition of excellence in advancing cancer surgery.
This meeting is accredited for ten CPD points.
